RE: DAVE
Start a new thread about your fuel station, but I think you got a bad pump!!!
Let's get one thing straight. MY pump is fine. My trailer's pump may have a problem, but I'm good to go (stones or no stones)!
I agree, draws too much amps due to bad gears.
An inline fuse (especially 30+ Amps) is NOT the way to go, too much resistance. Put a manual reset breaker in there and fix the pump
I looked at the fried portion of the wires again when I got home today. I kept the snipped out portion and left it on my workbench. I had forgotten, but the wires on either side of the fuse weren't necessarily the part that fried. It was the fuse itself that cooked. I couldn't even tell you what size fuse was in there, because the whole body of the fuse had burned away and only the two spade ends remained. The fuse holder was all burned up too.
Anyway, I've been holed up in the trailer at a conference since Thursday evening and the rest of the systems did their job. I didn't touch the fuel pump--I just used a gas jug to start the nightly fires.
RE: DAVE
Sounds like the pump gears swelled and siezed... Same thing happened to me out in Glamis.. full tank of gas and no way to get it out!! I'm running a 40 amp Circuit Breaker now!!!
I'm not sure about that. It pumped fuel OK. Doesn't the pump shut down when the gears sieze?
now he's back and he's breathy
Yeah, yeah, yeah... :B
Now if You don't mind, get out the calculator or gas card bills and tell us how much it cost in fuel??
See first post!!
Thanks :B
Oh, I really don't want to do that. I had a few days where I had to fill up three or four times a day. That's a big bucket of money.
I haven't added it up yet. The fuel was actually cheaper in most places up there than it was at home, but "cheaper" isn't the same thing as "cheap".
I'm guessing the fuel cost somewhere north of $2k. Just a guess.
RE: Raptor3612 Wholesale price question
Sorry to hear that, Paul. I hope things turn around for you (and everyone else).
One request: Dealers/Salesmen please reply to Paul via PM. Anyone else who is "in the know", feel free to speak up and reply here in the forum.
Good luck, Paul.
RE: DAVE
One more thing. We made it almost all the way through the trip with no mechanical failures. We stayed at Zion River Resort on the last night. That was the first place we could have a campfire. I used the fuel station to pump out some fuel to start the fire (:B). It was the first time I had used it since WW replaced it last winter. I didn't notice while I was pumping the gas, but all power died in the trailer after using the pump, which seemed strange since we were hooked up to shore power.
I couldn't find any problems with any of the fuses (inline on the pump, in the fuse panel, etc.). I was just about to give up and go to bed with no power (it was really hot and we wanted the A/C on). Then I remembered the fuse in the battery box.
The fuse didn't blow and it fried the wiring before and after the fuse. I spliced it together and went to bed.
The ghosts of WW still haunt me. But WW rants aside, the trailer held up great on this trip. We had a fantastic time.
RE: DAVE
Hey Ladies,
I'm not dead.
The trip to Montana was awesome. Lots of driving, but definitely worth it. We made it from L.A. to Pocatello, ID, on the first day (loooong drive) and then the rest of the way to Glacier the next day. We stayed at West Glacier for the first three nights: hiking, white water rafting, and more hiking. Then we moved over to East Glacier to see the other side. We stayed near Babb (sp?), which was eight miles from the border. Too bad we didn't think to bring passports or any kind of ID for the kids.
We took it a little slower coming back down south. Still long driving days.
On my second day back in town I was driving to the train station to take the Metrolink to work. My back got really sore and I figured it was just built up tension from all the driving. It started hurting pretty bad on the train, then my jaw started to get tight and my mouth got all drooly (the telltale precursors to a big barf). I got sick in the can on the train, got sick in the bushes in front of KABC walking to the office, got sick in the office. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I hadn't had any breakfast yet, so I was starved, but puking every ten minutes. Sweating like crazy, lots of pain in my lower stomach. I thought maybe I was about to burst an appendix/spleen/liver or??? There wasn't anyone in the office yet and I really didn't want to call 911 just because of vomiting and back pain. I knew I had to see a doctor pretty quick, but I didn't want to be stuck down in the city. So I took an $80 cab ride back home to my local urgent care (didn't want to die of old age in the ER waiting room). I only had to make the cab pull over once to hurl on the roadside (and the once more in front of urgent care just to make a grand entrance). I looked like hell, so they took me right away: "Mr. Edmiston, do you always look like this?" No lady, but thanks for asking.
The pain just about stopped as soon as they had me lay down on an exam bed. The doc said that the fact that I was so hungry ruled out a lot of nasty things. It took him about two minutes for him to guess that it was kidney stones. A quick x-ray confirmed his guess.
He filled me up with a rapid flow IV to flush me out as quickly as possible. One good pee and BLOOP went the stone.
Long story, sorry. Anyway, I was slammed at work after being gone for ten days and then missing another day right after that.
Then once I dug myself out of the hold at work, every time I tried to sign back on, the forum was inop.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Thanks for the uh, concern? Thanks to Derwud and s@ndy for the tag team calls. :)
So did I miss anything?
RE: New TV break-in
You'd better start driving.
I was a hundred and fifty miles short on the day I was scheduled to pick my trailer up. I did laps around the 210/10/60 until I hit 500.
RE: Warrior's assets siezed
so is it a matter of "when" not "if" we are going to have problems with our WW? We have an '04 FS2600 and have not had any problems with it. We just got back from a 2400 mile trip and while we had a few minor things happen, nothing major. The more I read these posts, the more I worry about the quality of my trailer.
I would love to see the percentage of people that actually had problems. I would bet that it is very low (in the lower half of all trailer brands). I really doubt that you are going to start having problems.
What were your minor problems during your long trip?
I am about to buy an FS2600. I think it is a great size and a great design. The used ones certainly have held their value well.
Andrew
It's far from scientific, but the failure rate within my circle of friends has been alarmingly high. Off the top of my head, I can think of three friends (plus myself) with failures ranging from "serious" to "catastrophic". Mine and one other (Quadhauler) was on an '04 FS2600. I think Buford's is the same style, but larger (FS2800?). There's one more if you count Motoboot's!
I haven't seen any similar problems with other trailer brands since the Gearbox delamination four years or so ago.
My trailer is in the shop again today re-repairing the brake wiring that WW installed incorrectly when they replaced my axles. They reimbursed me for the first rewire. I'm on my own for this one.
We still love this trailer. I'll do what I have to to keep it running. Last night I repaired the wiring to the XM receiver and the outdoor speakers (WW snipped all the old wiring when they replaced the stereo).
I'm glad to hear yours is holding together well. Keep enjoying it!!!
Just to add a little balance:
Other then a cosmetic issue with the rear cap that was handled under warranty, my WW has been near perfect.
Very cool. That's how it should be.
RE: Anyone that can help move my trailer in Temecula
Wow Bill - I'm sorry to hear about your truck. Who'd have thought a big TV would be a target for theft in this market?
I wonder if your auto insurance would pay for a tow? Check your policy for your truck and your trailer and see what your towing coverage is. A lot of policies are surprisingly liberal with tow bills.
Good luck with the replacement.

RE: Any haulers visit Glacier NP lately?
Don't forget the extra charges for the large Campfires Dave seems to make Everywhere he goes...
One of my favorite moments from our last trip to Zion was when the kid in the pool yelled out, "Hey Mister, you gonna have one of those big fires again tonight?"
RE: Any haulers visit Glacier NP lately?
Extra big fires = priceless!
Dave: Excuse me Ma'am do you sell Sobe her?
KOA: Yes we do
Dave: Do you sell gasoline?
KOA: Sorry, down the street 3 blocks
Dave: Oh that's ok I have a fuel station
Moments later...
KOA: Excuse me Sir, what does Sobe and Gasoline have to do with each other?
Dave: Grinning
Large Explosion, KOA lady looses eyebrows, yellow shirt is now light singed brown, plume of flame and smoke fill the sky over Dave's campsite.

Dave: S-O-B-E - Its how we spell Campfire in California!
:B:B:B:B
They sell SoBe up there in WA too, don't they? I know you couldn't do SoBes in Oregon, because you'd have to pay a minimum wage kid to fill the bottle for you.
RE: Baja - San Felipe
There's a prominent member here, Racorman, who had a bunch of toys stolen from his camp (his or his in-laws?). He'll probably chime in with a first-hand account for you.
RE: Any haulers visit Glacier NP lately?
Do you need my KOA value car?
Yes! He'll need that and your Visa for the extra charges. Let's see...
Extra person over two, per night
Extra charge for showers
Extra charge for swimming
Extra charge for dumping
Extra charge for 30amp power
Extra charge for campfire pit cleaning/per night
Extra charge for parking on the pavement/per tire
Extra charge for campers over 14' long at $2/foot
Extra charge for cylinders over 4 at $25/cylinder
Extra charge for view sites
Extra charge for view sites with a good view
Extra charge for premium sites not next to the Trapper John O'Bago
Extra charge for all the extra charges ;)
LOL - Have a great time Dave!

RE: WW Repairs
I don't know much about how these lawsuits work, but don't the lawyers only get paid on the basis of the claims that are settled?
No WW, no repairs.
No repairs, no individual settlements.
No settlements, no $$$ for the sharks.
Is that scenario correct? Hope so.
RE: WW Repairs
So this thread has spiraled around and around since I started it back in Dec.
I'm curious to know how many members have had their trailers fixed as part of the class action?
I assume the lawyers have folded up their tents and gone home now that there's no manufacturer left to bilk? Is that correct? Is the class action effort kaput now?
